Hi
So I recently switched to fleece and noodle bedding,I have a litter tray under my hay rack which btw works fantastically for keeping pee and poop in one place(well mostly lol)
I put newspaper in it and a layer of hay on top.
But after a few hrs it starts to smell because the paper and hay don't really soak up the pee.i have to change it twice a day, which is wasting a whole lot of hay😫
My naughty peanut keeps ripping up the newspaper also.
I have tried a puppy pad under the hay instead of paper but they just pull it out and I don't want them chewing it.
What else could I use? Can I use wooden cat litter pellets or another alternative?

You could use disposable bedding. I absolutely loved aubiose but could continue with it because I reacted to it 🥺 there’s also biocatelet which I liked but would have been too expensive to use regularly.

I now use washable puppy pads and definitely prefer them. I have three for each pair and they need changing roughly every 3 days. If I clean up every day - wet hay & poop, they can last a little longer. Inconti-Pet® Puppy Kitten Whelping Washable Reusable Absorbent Training Pad | eBay
I still occasionally use puppy pads, but prefer not to as the boys (in particular) like to chew on them!
