I've noticed what appears to be a little bold patch under Freddie's lip.

Slightly concerned - is this a potential warning sign?

I bath both piggies in a shampoo that's meant to deter mites and things.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanx

:))

I tried all last night to get a pic of the bald spot under Freddie's chin but he was having none of it.

Am visiting my father this weekend so I'll get him to hold Freddie while I check it out properly and take some images.

Thanx

No, doesn't like them.

He is addicted to grapes tho!

^I should add they are only allowed one a day.

l don't like fruit of any type as a "regular" treat, l believe it encourages mouth sores , but that's just me .

Getting back to Freddie's lip, or is it his chin ? is the bald aria inflamed or in anyway different to that of the skin that has hair on it ?

^It doesn't look sore or inflamed... he's just lost a little pea-sized patch of hair.

(I realised I spelt bald wrong in the title of this thread too... Freddie has a bold spot - hahahahaha... his bum is really confident!)

If there is no signs of infections, inflammation or little eruptions of any sort, and it is under the chin , could be that he is rubbing his mouth on the cage and simply wearing a bald spot , l have seen this often in Rabbits , and also in GP's , though not as common !

But please keep a close eye to it, and if it changes in any way , best see a Vet ! As Fluff has already said "photo is needed, difficult to advise without one".!

^Thanx for your advice... I will get an image sorted when I'm at my dad's this weekend - he's going to help me take a proper look at it as well. It's in an awkward place to try and take a pic on my own - spent all Monday night getting images of random body parts as Freddie ran away just at the second the shutter clicked.
