As some of you are aware, I got 3 baby gerbils on Saturday. Little Dave was much smaller than the other 2. We have found him dead in his bed this evening 8.... The other 2 seem fine and we are pretty sure that it is a freak of nature on why he died. He had gnawed away at his leg so his bone was poking out :( Chris has had many gerbils before and his dad says that something like this happened to them many years ago. I just feel so guilty now :(

We didn't have you long Dave and I am so sorry that your life was so short. Sleep peacefully little one and watch over your brothers xxxxxx

omg Claire i was just saying to my OH yesterday that i was excited for you getting your Gerbils because of how many animals you have lost recently,and now i read this i am so so sorry about poor little Dave,he only had a short while with you but I'm sure he appreciated every minute,don't blame yourself you are a great mum to all your little fluffys Big hugs for you.
RIP Dave make sure you watch over your family,very sad to lose you sleep well little boyxxxxxxx>>>xx>>>
 
I'm so sorry you have lost little Dave, Claire. He knows he was loved in the short time he was with you.

Poor little Dave - hopefully he'll be scampering happily over the rainbow bridge and be looked after there by Aggie and Kym!

RIP Dave. You were no less loved, just because your time was so short.
 
Claire, what can I say? Poor, poor little Dave. But also poor you! You're having such a bad time right now.

Sleep tight Dave! Find Aggie and Kym and create havok up there together!!

So sorry that you had so little time with your new arrival. It was not to be and that he was needed at Rainbow Bridge. In the short time he was with you he would have felt safe and loved so try and take comfort from that. Sleep well little angel..
