For those who have planted little gem lettuce before, how do you know it’s ready to harvest? I just have the piggies some and they seemed to enjoy it. It’s all Darkish green rather than pale in some parts.

And I found a snail in there 🤮

It’ll be the size really which will tell you when its ready - too early and it’ll just be baby leaves, too long and it’ll bolt

Well done for growing lettuce! My lettuce was a bit of a fail, we went for "year round lettuce" which is a butterhead variety I think... well it grew about a foot tall stem with just a few extremely floppy leaves, Piggle gave the bit I harvested "the pig eye" look and ran away from it, and now the rest has aphids somehow even though it is indoors! I had much better luck with coriander and grass :)

The pig eye 🤣 not impressed then! I’m surprised as last year it didn’t really grow much. It was surprisingly quick as well. I planted coriander (and grass) inside and they’ve grown really well. And the green beans are flowering.
