I've mentioned before that I used to have a lethal piggy so I started a thread on him. Wilbur was the son of a pet shop piggy. He was really the most adorable piggy I've ever had, but so fragile and so many problems. He was blind, deaf, and had dental problems like most lethals tend to have. He lived very happily for 5 weeks and 1 day. But, very suddenly in the night, he passed on to the rainbow bridge on July 2, 2010.

He was a sweet, precious little angel. He was so friendly and loved to lick anything he came into contact with :) Here's some pictures of the little guy

He was so adorable, well done for taking care of him, I'm sure he was very happy
 
He was gorgeous. They must have been a very special few weeks that you had him in your life.
 
His flame obviously burned very brightly and carries on in your lovely memories of him. Run free and play Wilbur

Thank you :) He was a very happy and had the brightest personality I've ever seen in a piggy :)

Thanks :) I only wish he could have been around longer
 
Ohhhh he is so beautiful, what wonderful memories and photos to treasure him by :)

Aw, thank you :) I wish he was still around, but both Wilbur and I had a happy 5 weeks together :)

can I ask a really dumb question? In collies (dogs) the blue merle coats carry a lethal gene which if you breed two lethals together will have blind or deaf or both puppies. Is this the same genetic lethal gene in piggies?
 
He was gorgeous Willow. He was very lucky to have you as a mummy for his time with you.

Such a little cutie.

It's so sad that he wasn't here for very long but he was clearly very loved.

Wilbur, love that name and the last pic does conjure up an image of the little pig in Charlotte's Web, one of my fave books as a child :)

Thank you :) Charlotte's Web was also one of my favorite books

Thanks :) Yes, nature can be very cruel. I thought he was going to live longer than he did, it was all so sudden :(

Aww! He's absolutely adorable!
I saw a guinea pig like him today in the pet shop. I was tempted to get it but I held myself back. I have two guinea pigs and I know I shouldn't get anymore.

Lots of piggies like him seem to be born in petshops, or born from petshop piggies
