Little Mario

We very suddenly lost Mario today, the vet thinks it was sudden heart failure. It's absolutely soul crushing.
Mario had pulled through a complicated bladder stone surgery and an ill timed dental, and even though he was on the brink of death he pulled through. Last night he wheeked at me for his pepper, snatched it from me and carried it to his hidey. This afternoon, he came up to me to be weighed, and was begging for the syringe food as I was preparing it. Then, all of a sudden he couldn't keep himself up, and passed in my arms.

He was truly a little fighter, I've never known a piggie to go through so much. He was the confident little boss, always demanding food and stealing his brothers. Always climbing out of the cage and wandering around. Picking up sticks and thwacking them around. Always nipping and peeing on me lol. He was such a little character, it's hard to believe he went so suddenly. His 4th birthday would've been in March.

RIP Mario, sleep tight my little prince. Me and Luigi will be with you one day.
