IMG_2837.webp I had her on Saturday. I saw her butt sticking up in the air from a pile of hay whilst getting hay cookies for the girlies and so I asked to see her.

Had a cuddle and found her temperament so sweet! Had to leave the store due to busting for a pee and returned an hour later to get her. My OH told me that she would be my Christmas pressie.

Due to a major mistake with bonding far too soon, I kept her in the play pen to calm down. Dominance was successful but it was too stressful with being so new as well. Today I separated the 5x2 cage into a 3x2 for the girls and Sweetie is in the 2x2 so that she can sniff the girlies.

Wednesday I am going to retry bonding the girlies in the play pen, which will have been washed. Since I put her next door to Smudge and Poppy I can't believe how much I have seen her.

Anyway, here she is...little Sweetie.

I now have 3 girlies and one boar and I am finally happy with the numbers!

Congratulations! She is gorgeous, I can see how you couldn't leave her behind.

She is back in the playpen. Snowy has a fungal/skin issue so the cages are back to what they were. Snowy is currently in the living room, on the opposite side to Sweetie. The girlies are back in the 5x2 in the back room.

Sigh

She is GORGEOUS! :luv::wub:
I hope everything works out well for the bonding x

Edit: just spotted your post about the fungal issues, so sorry to hear this. Get well soon little girl! x

Sweetie is fine. It's my boar, but he's still popcorning around his cage. I'm praying it's not ringworm, but I will treat all piggies as I will tell the vet tomorrow that I do have 4 piggies

Oops, I got a bit confused:doh: (that ain't hard for my peewee brain! :))) Paws crossed for the lil' fella :)

He's due to be be neutered on Friday...and right now I know that this issue of the fungal thing is annoying him, and there's nothing that I can do to sooth it.

It's so frustrating.

Awe, poor dude! :soz:

I'm re bonding. Sweetie is frozen in the middle of a hay pile and the girlies are busy munching. Smudge is sniffing Sweetie's bum.

Once I'm happy everything isn't going to break down (I'm confident it won't) i will clean the 5x2 cage

I am literally going to 'just let them get on with it' once I'm happy there is no blood being drawn. It always looks worse to us humans than it really is to piggies.

I'm hoping that Sweetie, being such a little one, will simply go to the bottom of the heirarchy. I will keep the main cage very basic, with four hidies (tubes) three bowls, three water bottles, and two piles of hay at opposite ends.

Oooo exciting times. I hope Snowy can get some relief soon bless him.

I changed their hay and saw the three of them munching on it before the chasing started back up again. I scatter fed veggies this morning and saw Sweetie eating for the first time!

I have gone out for the day and I will see how they are later on as I want to start bringing the three of them out for lap time but I don't want to do it too soon. I miss cuddles from the girls!

Aw fingers crossed when you get home they are all continuing to get on! Cuddles with all three will be fun :luv:

Awwww Sweetie is sooooo fuzzy and gorgeous - congratulations!

Lap time will all three girlies last night. Sweetie was very relaxed, probably due to Smudge being relaxed. I saw Sweetie pushing up Poppy's nose and Poppy is twice her size! I don't know who second piggy is, so I'm going to watch them interacting later

It is so interesting to see the herd dynamics :)

I had to have lap time as I was missing it so much. Smudge, the leader, licked my fingers on one hand clean...she had obviously missed it too!

Poppy was her usual, cuddly and pan caking self. As long as she can snuggle she doesn't care what the others do.

Sweetie was relaxed and almost settled. I say almost because she was still curious about the goings on in the rest of the room.

I thought I'd lost Sweetie somehow when I changed the hay in their cage earlier...she was hiding in a mound of hay so I couldn't see her. She has always been doing that, even when I saw her in the shop.

I can't wait for the 3x2 c&c to arrive after Jan 9th so I can extend the cage!

An 8x2 c&c cage. Fun times cleaning. Il be using two fleeces per clean and three more inconti pads.

That's what i think i would hate about the c&c cages, they so big that spot cleaning and cage cleaning looks like it would be a huge job. Piggies would love it though. Maybe one day when I have the room.

Very true Kylie, but the piggies love it...and they will like the extra room even more. To see them running around and popcorning in glee is a lovely sight.

Right now I just want poor Snowy to get better
