Hi

Please keep an eye on it and see a vet if keeps developing.

At the worst it could be lip infection (cheilitis), which can be caused by too much acidity but it is too early to tell from your pictures. Alternatively, it could turn out to be something stuck.

What are you feeding in terms of veg?

I took her to the vet today as my other girl needed to go and I got her to have a Quick Look . She said it looks like a skin tag or a wart type of thing . It’s hard to take a photo of it which is probably why it’s hard to see what’s going on!

They don’t really have much acidic veg mainly lettuce pepper celery cucumber and then sometimes other things. But yeah I will continue to keep an eye on it!

Good that you have got a harmless answer.

Unfortunately, there are limitations to online activity; that is why we'll never be able to replace a vet's hands-on diagnosis.

Thank you for clearing up that point. Thankfully, with a more balanced hay and no longer veg based diet becoming more common, cheilitis has become a lot less frequent over the last decade. But where there is the least possibility, it is always better to make sure. In its advanced form, cheilitis can be deadly.
