Live beetle found in hay

Earlier tonight I cleaned out the boys' cage. I opened up a new bag of the dust free hay from Animal Magic Pets Supplies and placed on top of the megazorb. I thought I was seeing things when I saw something move but I wasn't. It was a little black beetle. I hate the thought that if I hadn't noticed it it would be in the cage crawling around with the boys. It has me wondering if there is anything else in the hay

If you have a problem with any of the products could you please let us know then we can hopefully rectify matters. The DFH is supplied to us via the DFH Company so we need to let them know there is a problem. I only know of this problem by someone kindly letting us know that we are being spoken about on a forum.

I know it has nothing to do with yourself, It could be in any hay. I'm not far away from ordering my next 5 bags. I haven't noticed anything before. The hay I know comes from the dust free hay company and is sold sealed so as I say it's nothing to do with you x

I wouldn't worry too much i don't think it would do any harm to the piggies it would just probably crawl out of the cage and back on it's merry way to the outdoors. Probably just a bug that got in whilst it was drying/being bagged up. Of course It is a bit gross sometimes but i expect they would encounter plenty of bugs/beetles etc out on the grass. What does it look like?
