So I know a lot of treats branded for guinea pigs are actually very unsuitable for guinea pigs and sometimes even poisonous. For example: 'Milk Drops for all small animals including Guinea Pigs, Rabbits etc..' If you look on the back you'll see some drops and other treats it contains lactose which isn't good because guinea pigs are lactose intolerant.

However, I recently got some loftys from viovet and they are 100% safe and my piggies adore them! They absolutely adore them and they are really crunchy which is good for their teethy pegs (teeth!).

These are the ones: http://www.viovet.co.uk/Vitakraft_Loftys_Treats_for_Small_Animals/c16638/

The box was huge so it should last me a while! :)

Just thought I'd tell you guys because I saw a few threads about treats and just should I'd let you know! :)

Except that your link lists as ingredients sugar and salt, plus cereals... :(

Oh :( sorry, I thought they were safe. I'll throw them in the bin now, sorry for the inaccurate recommendation everyone :(

I agree. It's easy to be mislead by the "spin" on the front of the packaging. Just goes to show, it's important to check the ingredients in hooman food as well as piggy food.
