So I've been treating Loki for mange mites using Xeno for the past three wheeks and if anything he has gotten balder down his back :/

I am also giving him a fungal bath once a wheek, though the symptoms does look more typical of mange - broken hair shafts half way down, bald line down his back.

I noticed a scab today at the top of his back where he is now beginning to nibble himself.

I am disinfecting his hutch on every clean out but he does seem more bald, not sure what else I can do except to continue with the ivermectin and fungal baths and hope I start to see an improvement, if not its off to vets.

It's frustrating as he only had his third dose of Xeno on Friday, so now gotta wait.

It sounds like mites. I Usually go for injections at the vets for seriously affected piggies; they are more effective than spot-on. Hopefully you can got on top of the mites soon!

Poor Loki, hope he gets better soon x

I've just been through it with Nia... Hers were stress related when she was deposed as top sow by Ffwlbri and suddenly found herself at the bottom of the pecking order. mallethead

I got a nurse to do the follow-up injections of panomec, so I didn't have to pay for a full consultation and could come whenever convenient for me. Important considering how our life has been all over the place lately!

I would get a proper diagnosis before home-treating personally. If you're applying xeno and bathing, the xeno may not be as effective as it could be.
