John Anderson was so funny last night!

He has become a bit more confident this past week, now not totally scared at being in the livingroom and doesn't jump at every single noise going.

Last night I took him in for some cuddle time, he only lasted 15 mins before he decided that he was going to be a brave piggie and go and explore. He got off my lap, jumped off the settee (giving me heart failure in the process!) and had a wee run around the livingroom before going to his fav spot under the coffee table.

Decided to take out his cardboard box which he sits in in his run hoping that he'd sit there instead so it would be easier to catch him to put him back in his hutch when it was time for bed.
So I laid a trail of food from his hiding spot to the box..parsley, carrot, dried food bowl.
He comes creeping out from under the table, looking about him to make sure no one was there, eats the parsely then runs like mad back into his hiding spot.
Then I all I hear is crunching! he had only gone and sneaked the carrot back to his spot too without us seeing!
My husband is very mischevious so he nicked his carrot off him and put it back near his box. Out he comes again, again taking a few steps and then stoping to see if anyone watching. A bit like a comedy crime scene or something.

He then had a wee explore, took a liking for some shoes that were sitting behind the settee and would come further into the livingroom to have a look but fi there was a noise on the TV he scarpered off again.

Just wanted to share, it's been so nice to see him like this, he was just squeaking and happy and toddling about :)

That's lovely to hear! I'm glad John Anderson is settling with you so well. Guinea pigs are so funny sometimes! Just wait til you have two - the fun really starts!

;D
