Feeling like I'm constantly asking questions, sorry guys

Anyways, John Anderson in his new cage, now spending almost all the time in his wee house in there.
He'll come out for food but if he sees anyone as much as breathing in the driection of his cage he's running back to his house...I even saw him bound across the cage last night when my hubby walked past him!
This orning i gave him is veggie breakfast and he came out, took a carrot and then legged it back into his house with carrot to eat.

This is something he'll gradually stop doing isn't it? He'll get more used to us being around more than when he was outside?

Yes, that will stop eventually. :) Piggies are just naturally very timid animals. After a while he will realise that you mean no harm.

He should get used to humans being around after a while, you just need to be patient and soon he should trust you :) When you're walking up to his cage start talking to him quietly and softly so he knows your there, then he shouldn't be so scared when he sees you.

Thank you :)
have got him in the run outside now enjoying the sunshine.

They certainly stop doing it out of fear, a couple of mine come out, take a piece of food and trot back to their house, head held high, where they eat :)

All our piggies will eat from your hand if you hold the food for them, its a lovely feeling when they trust you :) (Although Smudge will only do this if she's having a very confident day lol)
