As some of you may know I got a lone boar not so long ago and now I have another loan boar due to the sudden death of his cage mate. How often should you interact with lone pigs? I try to spend three hours throughout the day in total with both of them on a daily basis but I don't feel that is enough. If it was up to me, I would spend 12 hours each with them which is unfortunately not possible or realistic.

My boar at the minute is alone until I find a friend and though I would quite gladly spend 24/7 with him and the rest of my pets (as you rightly put)it isn't possible with school or work. I do bring him down and have him out of his cage with me for cuddles and sofa walks as regularly as I can and I'd say I spend 2-3 hours with him also. He loves cuddles but then he seems quite content to nap or eat whilst I'm gone. He has a tube in his cage that he loves flipping, eating and rolling so I don't think he even notices my absence.

I always think piggies should be in pairs, although they love you, there's always room for one of there own kind.

I think a bit of alone time is good but definitely will need a friend, they bring so much more to each others lives when living together.
