Yesterday morning I found my daughters piggie rosie had passed away in the night :(
I had two and the one we still have, petal was the less dominant of the two, she's quieter than usual and we were wondering what would be best for her reguarding getting another piggy?
She is about 3yrs old and we have had her since she was tiny and has always been with rosie since then.
We have a two tier corner cage and could fit one or two more in there but didn't know whether it was best to leave it for a while or get her some company sooner rather than later, also didn't know which sex or age to get.
And advice is warmly welcome :)

i would look for a rescue nearby and let petal go and choose her own friend. either a neutered boar or a female. I'm not really sure ages matters too much.

rip Rosie popcorn free.

awww sorry for your loss :(
i think it depends on the pig. when i was little i had a brother and sister that has always been together but when the sister died she was only two but she was a runt. he got really really ill we though he was going to die too. but he perked up when we got him a new little girl friend but they never got on as much as the he did with his sister. but when he died the girl seemed so much happier on her own even though they had been together years xx

awww poor rosie, rip baby, hope your daughter is ok.

I would let her choose her own friend/friends too, poor little lamb will be feeling it i bet.

so sorry.
