I introduced a small amount of veg to Biscuit and her poop went soft (like rehydrated raisins) so I have stopped again. If I supplement with vit c can I keep up the little or no veg for longer? I am tempted to leave it another week before trying again but with the cancer if that doesn’t work we will be back at the vets and I’m facing the fact we may never get her back on veg again.

Did you try literally one piece of one veg? That’s how I introduce with veg after a tummy upset or bloat. Just one piece of Coriander or other herb at a time. If no ill effect then at next feed another bit of herb etc.
I’d give vitamin c in addition until she is back to normal.

@Katiedid It is possible to have a pig on a no veg diet. It'd have a chat with your vet about it though first before trying it.

One of my pigs keeps getting bloated although I'm not changing anything in his diet. I'll take him off veg until he recovers and then slowly reintroduce, but it comes back again.

We've been to our vet about it, and she gave him some gut motility drugs and pain relief. She was the one who suggested that I take him off veg completely and said it wouldn't harm him.

I want him to have some veg so I'm persevering for a little while longer but I'm not overly confident.

I had been giving one bit of cucumber for a few days to get the slippery elm down. She literally had a bit of cucumber, a sprig of parsley, a spinach leaf and a couple of sprigs of pea shoots. Possibly too much I acknowledge. I was going to go back to the start after a week off veg again. I can try one bit at a time next time.

I think I’d try just one at a time and see how you go. It seems cruel but it’s for the best for her.
