Hi

I just thought I would update you all on Biscuit. She is still with us (just) she is more lumps than pig and has a huge lymphoma under her chin but she is still happy and eating and pooping so we carry on. I thought we were going to lose her last week as she had an arthritis flare up but some rest and painkillers and she is up and about again.

She is old (7 now) and sleepy and I’ve divided an area of cage for her as she was getting stressed by the others (because Binky is now matriarch and rules by tyrannical leadership) so she now sits one side and they sit the other. So 15 month post cancer diagnosis and we are still battling, I know we have weeks not months now but my special bear isn’t done fighting yet.

Hope you are all well and happy new year xx

Katie

Lovely to see you again, I was thinking about you yesterday. You have done so well looking after Biscuit, what a lucky piggy to have such a caring home. Happy New Year. X

Ah bless Biscuit. I know the feeling...I'm nursing a poorly piggie too & I think we are near the end (just posted an update on my quite long thread about him (Lightening). 7 is a great age though and it sounds like she's had a very loving home 😊. I have also done the same as you and judged health through eating & pooping but we are starting to struggle now (pooping & moving freely) so I think it may be almost time, he's 4 and a half. If you've pics of Biscuit I'd love to see her x

So glad to hear from you, I had been wondering lately how Biscuit was doing. So glad she is fighting away and still with you.

Ah, beautiful piggies- thankyou for sharing. Love the protective stance of your other piggie. My other piggie, Domino, is being very protective of his poorly brother- before, they were very territorial & sometimes nippy to one another at times but thats changed now (apart from at food time!)...every pig for himself eh?! X
