This poor girly had a terrible time when she first came to us. She came in with a group of guinea's and buns, we didnt get home till 1am and spent the next 7 hours doing health check's and sorting health issues out. She had balls of matted hair all over her we started cutting her hair at 2am and didnt stop till 3am, she was extremly underweight and malnurished (sp?) She was terrified, and was on deaths door. I didnt want to post this when she first came in as it was touch and go for a while.

This is sandy when she first came in

I'm pleased to say she is now putting on alot of weigh and has a nice plump tummy now with a nice big bum! Her hair has grown back nicly and she looks fantastic and a total girly. She is bonded with a single sow from here and a girly she came with.

LOVE THE FOURTH PICTURE! she looks AMAZING and so healthy now! gad you gave her the TLC she needed and deserved! good job to you!

Crikes how the heck can any one allow their piggies to get in such terrible condition she looks amazing now thanks to your love and hard work

You have done a fantastic Job on her

Wanda that brings back memories of your Prince Harry when he first came in although he wasnt quite as bad as that

I thought the same thing as well, I have only seen the photos but I know he was a mess he's a different piggy now my friend thinks its amazing the way he's changed. He's put 12oz on in weight, he's loves cuddles and attention, though its still on his terms if he doesn't want to be cuddled he lets you know, when I first brought him home he soon scarped when picked up and cuddled, I have spent many an evening trying to get him out from under the sofarolleyes and it was only last April he found his voice and started yelling at first quietly but gradually louder and louder he has his own friend to live with Sparky, and his coat is now gorgeous. He hates being groomed and will kick you with his back legs and yell his head off so he gets a brush once a month with a baby brush and tats cut out even thats an endurance for him. I stopped brushing his regularly because I didn't want him associating cuddles with something he hates. Sorry I am waffling now but he's an amazing piggy.

awwwwwwwwww that's such fab news, what a total turn around she is looking amazing i'd have never picked her to be the same piggie, now looking so so happy and healthy x)

Why folks get long haired, high maintenance pets then completly ignore their needs is beyond me.

You've done an amazing job taking care of her and getting her back to such a lovely looking piggie.

Thank you :) She was scared of her own shadow but will now happily follow your feet and wonder around near you when your in her run.

The girls live in a somwhat shabby converted area, in an attempt to get them people friendly, it worked a treat. I cannot do anymore bondings with ease as they are living in my bonding runs!

The area is much bigger now after a massive rearrange of the room I shall try and upload some piccies!

It makes me so angry to see in what state dreadful beautiful piggies are are making ending up in rescue! There is NO excuse for not feeding and grooming a pet of yours!

You have worked wonders with her (and presumably her companion); she looks like a completely different piggy!

Such a beautiful girl! This is even more reason as to why my longhair (also called Sandy!) Will be getting the chop once he is old enough, just not practical at all :(
