you have permission to laugh, they havent turned out how I planned but then not having a pattern or having seen other beds I kind of made it up as I went.

Thinking of the colder months, a teepee for them to go into, the fur is on the inside for them to make it warmer, structure is made rigid on the top with craft wire.

and to stop nibbling of the wire, the roof

so first disaster over and I tried a second open plan bed

it was originally going to be the base of the teepee but I decided to make a cushion instead for that one as I was making it over complicated. And I had to sew scraps together to make the material up, hence why its fleece and fake fur.

both together - fully machine washable as the wires can (and will be) removed before putting the bed in, I made sure I designed it that way.

They look comfy I'm sure your piggies will love them, I know someone has posted links to websites on here before for how to make cosies etc but I didn't save them as I'm no good with that kind of thing (I just ring my mum and beg her instead)

only 14 days to wait to find out, time is creeping so slowly till I can go and pick them up.

But I also am still not quite ready for them - day off tomorrow, scrubbing the bottom part completely is on the agenda (weather permitting) and I have discovered a slight leak in the bedroom so I am going to have to look at refelting or whipping up a waterproof cover for the hutch - so glad it rained yesterday night else I wouldnt have known about the leak.

And then the final lick of paint, put in the second floor up top with paper underneath to insulate it and then putting the fleece down in the bedroom, plus making the ramp (although they wont have use of it till I get a tunnel for it) its easier when the hutch is empty to do all these jobs.

They look great - my piggies have the imitation sheepskin lined cosies and I bought some furry offcuts to fit inside. They won't go in them without this now :{ so they would love these you make.
Have you any plans to make some to order ? I would be interested if so ?/
