my girlfriend had a bit off a shock when this little fellow ran across the lawn when she was out with the guinea pigs in the run , and the next day another one ran out , they are hungry burgers and need feeding ever hour . had them for 3 days now , so hope they get to fly off soon , not to sure what they are , so fingers crossed they will survive as they are tiny

they look like finches, possibly goldfinches. are you sure mom and dad aren't around? it's quite common for chicks to fledge onto the ground and mom and dad carry on feeding them until they are able to fly. good luck with the feeding and hope they survive x

we have had them in an open run , as there are a couple off finches around but they have not made contact , plus next doors cat will soon make short work off them if i leave them alone , had a good look around for the nest , all advise welcome

well good luck! I remember a few years ago we had 4 Robin chicks fledge into our garden - not good when you have 5 cats! I frantically ran around the garden chasing cats who were chasing baby robins, whilst mom and dad Robin bombarded me from the air! despite my efforts I only managed to save one and I like to think it's the one that comes onto my bird feeder to say hello :-)

cats are a big problem , i could leave them to nature or see if a rescue could take them , but they are feeding fine for now and watched in the open run to see if there parents show any interest , i really hope they make it because it would be nice to see if they visited in the future

Ahhhh! That is soooooooooooooo cute! It's deffo the same one coming back!

Gosh they've grown! x)
awwwwwwwww good luck maybe when they grow up a bit more they might come and visit you with their partners or even their own little brood x)

the stronger one off the two has flown off now which leaves the weaker one , the parents off the birds are encouraging him her to fly but she he is just not strong enough to fly fully yet , maybe a bit more mothering from the girlfriend , we just leave the window and the parents off the chicks fly straight in the house and sit on the basket were the chicks are kept , quite a privilege to see them close up
