So happy and excited to say that little Peanut from the RSPCA at Northamptonshire is coming to live with me as a companion to Cherry after her sister, Blossom, suffered from a growth in her neck and sadly was put to sleep by my vet.

I have been looking for weeks for a potential companion for Cherry so really delighted to meet Peanut on Saturday and bring her home. Peanut is only about 2 months old. 💕

Thanks to the RSPCA and Peanut’s fosterer for the care that they have given Peanut.

Haha, my wifes friend was telling me about peanut earlier, she was looking at rabbits online to rescue, and see peanut the pig ,and said to me Nooo! You cant have peanut!. Then it came to me, I'm sure i heard this name recently😁.

Dont worry she is marked down as re homed👍

I really like the name Peanut - it’s very distinctive. Like you said ... you remembered it 👍
So I think I will keep that name for her.

Cherry is very excited for Peanut’s arrival tomorrow!

But she will have to wait before meeting her as Peanut will have had a long journey and she will need a settle in for a couple of days.

Cherry’s long wait for a companion after her sister passed away is nearly over 👍

Thanks everyone.

All went well with collecting Peanut ... 230 mile round trip but certainly worth it. Peanut is so pretty and I think she is going to be a lively character.
Karen, her fosterer from the RSPCA is friendly and so caring.

Peanut is settling in. She spent time with Cherry today in neutral territory- all went well. Early days but I am keeping my fingers crossed 👍 for a good friendship together.

Hi everyone.

Here is little Peanut with Cherry. Getting Peanut to put on weight has been a challenge but I think we are getting there now ... I hope! She is only 572g after losing some weight when she first arrived.

Karen, her RSPCA foster carer also had the same problem and took her to see Simon Maddox so he could check her over. He gave Peanut a clean bill of health and thought she might just end up being a little piggie.

Hopefully now she is settled in her new surroundings and gaining confidence this will help her. Pea flakes and little bits of grass are her favourites - she is fussy about anything else apart from hay.

It’s her tiny little face that is so lovely 😍

Sorry I wasn’t sure it was Simon Maddox or Mattock but looking at the recommenced vets section it is Simon Mattock.

She is absolutely adorable.
My Peanut (boar) says hi to Peanut and says he loves her name, he's not to pleased when his slaves call him nutty though. Recently he seems to have become Nunu which is slightly better!
