Okay I’ll try not too get toooo excited too soon. As I know it’s still early days.
BUT..after my post a couple of days ago with my disappointment that Lottie and Lionheart started fighting while trying to bond. A few of you suggested I tried again, and reminded me to be more patient!
So on Saturday I bought Lion back down to my house and tried again. I left them out on the floor for about 7/8 hours, and it went fab! They rumblestrutted a little bit but mostly just explored and hung out together. Emily was great too, she’s a very easy going pig who doesn’t like drama. They all shared grass and hay, and chilled out in the same spot.
I then sectioned off part of the cage to keep Lion separate but next to the girls overnight. There was no fighting through the bars.
In the morning I took away the partition.. I was nervous.. but it’s gone really well! Tonight I got them out on the floor again for a few hours, and when I put them back they were lovely and calm and shared pellets.
There has been lots of excitement from lion which of course involved lots of humping. But Lottie is no longer showing any signs of fear aggression and it’s putting up with him being slightly annoying. She happily letting him share the hay tray. And apart from the odd rumblestrut and telling off it’s going great for all 3.
It’s only been 2 days so let’s hope success continues!

This was tonight
And then waiting to go back into there cage..
