Looking at trying piggie parcels pellets? Anyone tried them?

Hello,

Running low on my current nuggets. I was wondering what ones you have tried and if they were a success? I guess I won’t know till I try, but just want a general ideal.

Yes I’ve used piggie parcels pellets and mine enjoyed them.
(I don’t feed any pellets now though)

(Keep in mind that you need to switch pellet brands gradually so don’t allow the ones you have to run too low before you have made the gradual transition to a new one)

Okay thanks, I normally two two spoonfuls and put in their cage early evening. Shall I just do 1.5 spoonfuls and half a new one?

I’ve tried them and my piggies have 1 spoon of them and 1 spoon of science selective ( grain free) - they prefer the ss ones bu5 eat the piggy parcel ones.
That sounds a good idea then after a week or two do half and half and you’ll know then if your piggies like them

Yes - You do it by gradually changing the ratio of old to new until they are fully on the new

The PP pellets are cold pressed so it can take a while for piggies to decide whether they like them or not!

All 8 of my piggies are being fed the Piggie Parcels pellets. It did take some time for them to decide they would eat them.

My fussy bunch didn’t like the immune formula so I’m trying them on the joint and urinary support ones next. I can report back once I’ve given it time. I really want them to like them as I prefer supporting a small business to the large pet franchises.

Herman LOVES piggie parcels pellets. He gets them as an alternative to a pea flake(he’s on a pea flake ban for life!)

Wally’s opinion on piggie parcel pellets is “meh” , he eats a couple ‘caus he doesn’t want to be left out!

Mine snaffle up the Piggie Parcels original formula ones as quickly as they can. I scatter feed them and they are very happy to play "hunt the pellet"

Mine didn’t like the PP nuggets, even though I mixed them with their usual Science Selective grain free nuggets and gradually swapped them out.
In the end we went back to just the SS ones which I scatter around for them to find.
Mine get 1 tablespoon between the 2 of them.

Although they didn’t like the nuggets they love the PP forage, especially the respiratory blend and flowers, and the green oats

So I’ve been gradually introducing the Piggie Pellets (Urinary & Joint Formula) …Aperol scoffs them all up right away and Espresso nibbles on them too (although she’s never been a big fan of nuggets). I think I can call that a success! They smell fresh and minty too so I can see the appeal.
