Hi there,
Long story short is Nutmeg, one of my girls has an extra toe on each of hind feet. They don't bother her but I'm afraid in case of anything happening to her because I've not had them removed. Can anyone recommend a vet in North Wales (Holywell area) to get these removed?
I have tried the vet locator and the nearest one is in Runcorn :help:

Sadly, we don't have another member in your area, but perhaps @AuntyC can help you; she is in the Colwyn Bay area.

Any decent vet should be able to remove an extra toe, though.

Hi @Crystella

I have a boar with extra toes on each of his back feet. My exotics vet has said it sometimes happens due to in breeding of piggies these days. She has also said that they do not need to be removed unless there is a problem like it is not attached properly. I just cut the nails same as all the others ;).

Please don't put your piggy through something that is not needed if there is nothing wrong with them. xx

Hi. Sorry not seen this sooner, have been away from the forum for a while due to problems at home, but back now! Very few guinea pig specialists in our area regretfully, It is worth travelling to find the expertise necessary for surgery - as proven by those who use The Cat and Rabbit Clinic in Northampton for their piggy problems!

I'll leave them alone as they are causing no problems, was just worried in case she caught them on something in her cage.
