We're looking at going away for for a week or 2 next year. Does anyone know of a piggy/bunny boarding kennel in west/North Cumbria? I've had a look on the internet and all of the boarders are in the south of the county 2 hours drive from where I am in Maryport. Any help would be appreciated. ;)

I am in the same situation do you know of any reputable ones in Glasgow? or near lanarkshire? I have looked but I'm scared to leave my two boys with anyone.... I am gonna call Helen and ask her advice but untill i get her can anyone help please? J.

that link i posted earlier, you are able to search for places in your area so may be worth you giving it a go then when you find boarding places near you perhaps google them and see if you can find any reviews, if they are not too far away you can always go check them out. i would think any respectable animal boarding / kennels will let you see their facilities before you checked your furry friends in.

Hello,

i just googled and found this search site and this is the link for the page with the guinea pig boarding in cumbria, two places, not sure how far away from you - these same places do rabbits too if you have any bunnies

hopefully slightly closer than the ones you have found so far

They're the ones I've looked at, unfortunately they're nearly 2 hours drive from me as I'm right up in the north west corner of Cumbria. :(

oh dear well hopefully somebody else on here may be able to help you. Can you not leave with a friend or family member? or even take them with you?

I might have to take the piggies with me, I have an indoor cage. I'll have to leave Betty with a neighbour. :(

Becklen Guinea pig do Boarding, they're in Gretna. We use them and they are brill, it's where we got our piggies from too. If you're on facebook you can look them up. If not i will get an e mail address for you. There is one in Workington too,

We used these once and our boys were well cared for.

Workington would be good for me, it's only 5 miles from me. :)

I've just fired an email off to them to see what their facilities are like. ;)

I can recommend them, the pens are a decent size. Nice and clean. They were friendly and happy for me to take my own stuff for the boys. When we collected them the young girl working their had obviously spent time with them, because she had picked up on their personalities.
