Leo's hair is really starting to grow now, he is looking like a puffy toilet brush LOL

I am assuming it will just grow and grow and grow!

Er I think so, really don't have any clue (apart from what I have been told hear), don't know his history either
 
Looks like a Peru/Smooth to me. But then if he is only a babe he could be full. Twinkle is a Peru X and for ages I thought he was full but his punk look stayed and his bum only grew a few whisps!

Watch of for the Peru's they can be Diva's! ;D
 
His hair has grown loads since the last pic you put up :smitten: lol Louise is right i've heard peru's are a bit mad! My peru x is lovely though, had her out before :smitten:
 
Twinkle is great now but has taken nine months to calm down. I've found trimming the back end a big help, I don't know if it pulls on the skin but Twinkle was never comfortable with his so keeping it short means he enjoys a stroke!

If he is full Peru Leo is going to be even more gorge! :smitten:
 
i think hes a peru x abby

i think abby cos of the shape of his face, it looks like an abby face to me.

the hair doesnt look thick enough for full peruvian, just my opinion anyway O0

He is 3 months old now.

He is a total nutter. Constantly singing (well I call it singing but just making sounds really) all the time he is eating and snuggling up with Harry he is noisey, happy noise.

His fur is very fine, lots of it but very fine.

I had one like him a while back, Merlin (pic at bottom) he had bits of long hair but his hair was much thicker and grew a lot slower.

I would love to know what he is going to turn out to be LOL As for Abby, he does not really have any rosettes, he seems at times to have a big one on his back end but its more of a bad hair day thing from sleeping against the side of his bed. But I really do not know
 
Peru's have 2 rosettes on the rump. Merlin is like Twinkle but Twinkle has a jet black face and not as hairy! ;D Twinkle's hair is waxy and he has four rosettes so I always say he is an Aby/Peru X

I guess it is just a waiting game. I'm waiting to see if my Sheltie X sow who is around 11 weeks turns into a full Sheltie, I did think she would but not sure now! ;D

just cos he has abby in him doesnt mean he would necessarily have the same amount of rosettes as an abby O0 it could just affect his hair length/thickness but his face looks so much like an abby face to me. i have a habit of associating face shapes with breeds

i have a short hairxsheltie who only has long hair in a tail on his bum! which i chopped off so he has all short hair now
 
So if it is a peru can I expect very long hair, like 6 inches in length in total and if it is a cross slightly shorter and less of it?

I Loved Merlin he was so cute
 
;D so much easier when you get them fully grown! I thought Sephy might be a sheltie but her hair only grew about 3 inches, its a lot longer than a smooth coat and needs the odd trim and she has the little furry legs that make her look like shes wearing slacks but she's not a sheltie, Sephy has the best fur out of them all, i love rubbing her face on mine its sooo soft and silky :smitten: whereas Panda is a full sheltie and her fur is the same texture as a smooth coat just about 5-6inches longer lol! bit of pointless info for you there ;D

I think his face looks kind of peruvian lol, I'm probably wrong but most peru's ive seen have a triangular face, whereas abys have the two little rosette type things on their cheeks! x
 
basically or if hes a cross he could have patches of long hair, and patches of short hair. similar to honkeysmummys honkey and mervyn if you look for piccies of them on here there are peruxabbys

here is my peru (also called merlin!) he had very fine hair but its very long and is gradually getting thicker, he was a bit of a runt and is a bit underdeveloped for his age, ill have to wait longer to get him neutered than usual as hes not growing as fast as my other piggies did

your piggys face looks identical shape to my housemates abbys face

i find abbys faces are a little longer than perus its hard to describe what i mean lol but i use face shapes often to distinguish breeds. heath who is the short hairxsheltie is more short hair than long, but he has a sheltie face

yes i see what you mean now lez, Ralfie has an aby face and has a pointier nose, Maggie has a peru face and its kind of small and flat. other thing i find is that aby's always show the white of their eyes at the top of the eye, whereas peru's seem to show the whites at the bottom of the eye if that makes sense?! probably just me ;D
 
i never noticed the eye thing, ill have to compare tomorrow now you have said that ;D ;D

lol sqeeker, merlin used to have a right quiff like that til it got too long to stick up ;D now it only looks like that when he is in a bad mood and fluffs it up on purpose ;D
