Sorry cant describe the problem any other way. i fed my little rex diva Maisie this morning & she was sitting with her bum facing ( am used to this act of defiance!). Anyway saw what looked like an extra piece of fur resting on the hay. When i went to her, i picked the piece of fur ( gently) & it simply lifted up & i could see raw skin! The skin had no marks on it & it looked healthy - just very dark pink. Sorry my description isnt that good. I have checked her & she is active enough, eating ok, & when i stroked her head & back ( avoiding the base) she made her rubbling sound, so doesnt seem distressed. Her boyfriend Mungo has no signs of any skin complaints. Does anyone know what this could be. t really looks like a wig that has come loose but still attached. I would say the piece of fur is around 1 inch in diameter. I will of course take her to my vet, but cannot do so until monday at the earliest.
