Just over 4 weeks ago fudge gave birth to 3 piggys, When they were 3 weeks old, we separated needed to separate the boys from her. Unfortunately, all of them are boys. They have been separated for just over a week now, and today I noticed patches of Fudge's (the mum) Hair has thinned out quite a bit. The skin itself doesn't look scabby.

I was wondering if this is a sign of stress, or if I need to take her to the vet?:{

(That was her first litter)

Thanks for any advice!:)

First and only litter i hope. Where is the thinning of hair? could we see some pictures? I am not sure if it is a sign of stress, or if she has been barbering herself, or if it is mites, Otherwise it could be related to ovarian cysts, but if we could see a picture. xx

First and only litter i hope.

It was an unexpected litter, We bought her like it. We was hoping to keep a female baby, but unfortunately all boys :( So we should be getting a couple of female rescues drool
Ill take a few pics and upload them in a bit. The thinning of hair is on her back. She seems ok in her self :) xx

That should rule Ovarian cysts out then as the thinning of fur would be on her side(s) but i assume she is only young anyway if she has just had some pups, and it usually only effects older piggies. if its on her back i am now wondering if she would be able to barber herself on her back...... pictures might help, but i think i would be booking a vet trip to be sure xx
