Loosing weight

Thank you both. Yes he is eating and excited about food so I don’t think he needs syringing. I understand now what you mean about the pellets/syringing. They are on the same pellets (science select) as they used to be in their old home. Their veggies have changed, but only to follow the diet guides on here so they are lower calcium. As long as he is happy, alert and eating/pooing then I think all I can do it wait and watch.

Thank you for your advice and support.

UPDATE
I just wanted to thank all of you who were there to advise me when we first got our piggies and they were unwell with what seemed like constant UTIs. Crumble has been off medication for about 3-4 weeks now.
Trifle has been off medication for 9 days.
I have been following the bladder piggie diet and giving them Burgess excel Timothy hay, which they love! I didn’t weigh them for a while because I didn’t want to stress them
handling them. They have been back and forth to the vets so much and handled so much for medication that I wanted to give them a break.

Tonight I weighed them and they have finally gained weight! It’s taken 10 weeks and they are not quite up to the weights they were when they came to us but they seem to have stabilised and are heading in the right direction!
Crumble was 1300g on Oct 5th and Trifle was 1100g. Crumble went down to 1019g and Trifle to 944g. Tonight Crumble is 1220g and Trifle is 998g I am so happy and relieved! I think the move to us really affected them and now they are settled and have had a diet tweak they seem to be doing much better. I am convinced they got UTIs because they were so stressed poor little things. Nevertheless I am keeping them off lettuce and root veg just in case!

I am sitting next to them listening to the happy sound of piggies munching! Just wanted to share how they were getting on!
