Last week i was petting Blue Berry and i gave her some carrots. She was trying to eat a carrot but her mouth just cept slipping off and i didnt no what was rong. She couldnt eat the carrots. I also let her nibble my finger and that is when i noticed that she had lost her bodem teeth. I immediately looked it up on the internet and learned that sins they are rodents they can loose or chip there teeth and they will just grow back beacause there teeth are always growing. So far her teeth have already grown back in and she is back to eating carrots:p. Has this ever happend to anyone els because i found this very suprising.

Yep it can happen and they grow back very quickly, about 10-14 days max usually. It's recommended that you don't have the opposing teeth cut as although they can grow longer they were themselves down naturally when they start to meet the other teeth again. Cutting the opposite ones can lead to nasty problems with the molars and piggy having problems getting food in their mouth.

Piggy will be fully toofed in no time but just keep an eye out for it happening again as if it happens repeatedly there could be something going on with the molars. You could help by cutting Blue Berry's food a bit smaller if you think she's struggling with chewing bits off.

"If she isn't getting enough vitamin C she could lose her teeth."

If the Vit. C level were that low wouldn't the pig be dead?

Yes i had a piggie who broke his toofies constantly.......an on going saga grrrrr :p
You are def best NOT to have the opposing toofies trimmed this happened one time and i had a lot of problems mallethead
If you're in doubt go see a vet or rodentologist somebody who's very piggie savvy......
I see you're in Canada......which province are you in? ( i lived in Ontario for 15 months) we do have other people from Canada that might be able to help
you can pm me if you're not sure i do know of other people in Canada not on here......that would be willing to help you perhaps with a vet :)

Thank you all for your great advice and i will make sure i look after her teeth and make sure there are no problems with them. I also live in ontario.
