Hello this is a follow up thread from my last one as things have changed. I have seperated 3 of my pigs who are barbering into a trio and a pair. I have put the main culprit with her sister and a teddy sow who doesnt barber. Ive had an ongoing issue with the trio where the sibling of the main barbering pig is losing weight despite eating! She has a reduced appertite but I have been syringe feeding with critical care and dual care and her weight goes back up but I can never seem to get it to stay steady as if I stop feeding syringe feeds she will just stop eating or reduced interest. She is eating hay and veggies but not consuming much pellets. But if I syringe feed she will be normal and be active and eat.. ? I have been to see vet and her teeth are fine! I'm starting to think its a pig that is just wanting syringe feeds? And attention? I am pre treating for mites just to be on safe side but I'm baffled what is going on!

Hi

I would recommend that you try the sister with the weight issues with your pair and see whether that is stabilising the issue.
