Loss of a beautiful guinea pig

hello everyone, I am totally devastated having lost my little guinea pig Jupes after 6.5 years and very unexpectedly. she died within 24 hours of what the vet thinks is heart failure but had no other symptoms.

She was a pair up until 2019. I work from home and she was with me literally all the time. I miss her terribly and not sure if I am going to get over her. She was my little companion as I was hers. she made me feel happy and never alone.
I just wanted to post this as I feel so lonely without her.

Thank you , I am trying to figure out some coping strategies. I know it’s early days but she was such a huge part of my life.

So sorry you lost your girl, I too lost mine last week totally unexpectedly she was fine at 2.30 when and by 5pm The Rainbow Bridge had called her name. Jupes was clearly well loved and looked after to get to such a grand old age and will take all that love with her to The Rainbow Bridge. Be comforted by the fact that you shared her life for over 6 years and have lots of happy memories to look back on. Sleep well lovely girl.

So sorry for your sudden loss of Jupes. I hope what is a shock now, will become a comfort that she didn't suffer at the end.
I've lost 4 piggies in less than a year but Lighting who I lost in November always wanted to be with me and meant I never felt alone. She was my buddy like Jupes was to you. It just took a lot of time to get used to the loss.
There are pet bereavement lines which might help.
In time you'll move from despair, to being thankful for the lovely relationship you had with Jupes. All we can say is we know your pain

It is very heartbreaking as guinea pigs are such innocent sweet little beings. I never felt alone when she was around and she will leave a huge hole in my heart .

It is hard as they have such big personalities.she lost her sister 2 years ago and I made the decision not to introduce another buddy for her. She was with me literally all the time so I became her new friend. I know not the same for her but it’s too heart wrenching and she was loved and cared for so much. I hope she knows that wherever she is.
