Loss of fur on front leg

Hi all,

I’ve recently noticed two sizeable patches of missing fur on one of my boy guineas front legs whilst going to clip his claws. He retaliates if we go near these areas, and will bite which is very unusual behaviour for him.

He lives with his brother and they do not fight, nor do they scrap over food as we make sure there is plenty around.

Any help and advice would be appreciated!

That area is usually bare as that’s where they use when cleaning themselves. Have a look at the thread I’ve linked to below.

seeing bald patches on the legs is often due to them cleaning themselves

If the area seems a irritated or that he might be in discomfort then it’s always a good idea to see a vet though
