Hi all.
Just wanted you guys to know this was the first forum that pops up when when searching for a lost hamster! This gave me hope in getting our - not even been at home 48 hours - hamster back.
Just wanted to share my random technique in getting Roxie back (breath a sigh of relief).
Basically she escaped whilst we were cleaning here cage over our kitchen plinth and disappeared.
We have a tiny hatch with limited access to beneath the floorboards.
I scattered her bed out on the floor beneath our floorboards along with a pear and apple.
I then blew air from my wife's hairdryer onto the fruit in order to spread the scent as fast as possible.
With a spare Nest cam overlooking this area, I waited approx 15 minutes until I got sight of her. Scooping her up sharpish in a fruit bowl!
Delighted.
Again, thanks to this forum for inspiration and making me not give up.
Kids will be extremely happy in the morning to see she has survived.
