Thistledonicely
Junior Guinea Pig
Evening all,
We recently lost one of our pair of girl piggies. They’d been together since day 1 and Gerald saw out 5 and a half years with her pal. She died in their hutch and Violet got to say goodbye.
Just asking about best move for Violet now. She was always the more reserved of the two. I’m finding it difficult to find a solo piggy for adoption, and worry a new baby will just run rings around her and give her stress. Is this a thing? Will she enjoy companionship more than be upset by the change?
She’s a healthy piggy that has never had to visit the vet for anything. She continues to eat, sleep and play as usual and we’ve no concerns other than we’ve read they prefer companionship. We took her on her first holiday recently and she coped well.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks!
