3/4 of my pigs made a break for it this evening after my dad accidentally left a gap when setting up their outdoor run today. found 2 after 3 hours of searching (one came to me and the other one started chirping extremely loudly after a while of calling her name) but 5 hours after they first went missing still can’t find one and it’s almost 11pm and 13 degrees outside (supposed to drop to 11 later). she went through the neighbour’s fence but looked all over their property calling her and couldn’t hear or see anything at all. i’m so worried she’s going to get hypothermia or eat something poisonous or just something will happen to her and i’ll never find her 😭 any ideas?

Leave something she can hide in near the gap to the neighbours. Others have better ideas. Sorry for the stress, hopefully piggy returns soon.

So sorry this has happened. An other member on here had a similar thing happen a couple of weeks ago. They did as recommended above and also kept on looking for their piggy. She was found safe and well three days later hiding under some tree roots, so there is every chance your piggy will be ok too

This is a horrrible nightmare for you and piggie
Keep calling and looking and remember piggies can and will hide if frightened.
Put something that smells of her his home and food
I really wish you the best.

PIGGIE come home.

i left a box she likes out with lots of hay and pellets in it right by where the hole in the fence is so hopefully she’ll come back through. they’ve done this before but it’s never taken me more than 30 mins to get them back through and they usually respond to my voice so i’m worried she’s gone under their house or been attacked by their cat or into a different neighbour’s section. thank you :(

Don't give up. Keep lookin etc.
I'm sure you are. have you asked neighbours to keep a look out etc
yeah i did when i asked to look around their garden earlier... it’s 1am and i still can’t find her (first went missing at 6) so i’m going to try again in the morning. i’m so worried i’m not sure i’ll be able to sleep though 😭

Oh my wish I could help.
Keep a torch handy in case it's dark and you hear something. Really sending you postive vibes.

have you played piggie sounds off the Internet, that might draw them back if they are nearby. Hope you find them x

finally located one exceptionally dirty and smelly pig who is in dire need of a bath but otherwise completely fine and currently demolishing some lettuce! she was found in the box i left out with hay and pellets by the hole in the fence. glad to have her back and can’t wait to catch up on the sleep i didn’t get last night :zzz:E5385DD6-90FA-4ABD-9882-746F722DC23B.webp33C89237-3FCF-450A-A1EA-0C4D8070A55D.webp

YAYYYY! I’m SO happy she returned! So cute that she found her little box filled with everything she loves. Well done on getting her home safely. Looks like she’s had quite the adventure to tell the other pigs.
Give her plenty of good food and keep her nice and warm for the next 12hrs.. and yes maybe a bath! :))

well if you call growling around the cage chasing all the other pigs for 2 hours straight telling them about it 😂😂😂 thank you!

Phew! Thank goodness she’s come home. So happy for you both 😁

👏🏾 💃 yay! So happy she’s back. She obviously had a wild time out there before remembering the home comforts 🤣

She may have just hidden under a bush somewhere and forged on grass. Perhaps not much to write home about 😂

i was wondering if she’d hidden under the neighbour’s deck or house... who knows she could’ve even had a fight with their cat 🤷‍♀️ she definitely would’ve won if she had, she’s got some fight skills that one 😂😂

What a relief that you have her back safe and sound. Perhaps it would be a good idea to plug any gaps in the fence and to make sure that the outdoor run is also Houdini proofed. Sounds like this little lady has had a big adventure.
