Hi, my 3 year old girl lost one of her bottom teeth last year and it didn't seem to cause any problem other than the one above kept getting overgrown. She has been going to the vets to get it clipped every so often and as I'm off on holiday tomorrow I decided to get to clipped. When we were there the partner clipped it and it fell out! Now she only has two front teeth......he then went on to say she could manage with no front teeth at all (he's lucky he's still got his I was so mad). Will she be ok? Does anyone else have piggies with reduced or no front teeth? Do I need to do anything special?

Sorry, I'm a little confused, did the tooth not grow back? One of my girls lost a tooth last year after taking a brave jump. Within a couple of weeks it had completely grown back, and no clipping of teeth was necessary. ?/

No the tooth that came out at the bottom never grew back....so she had two at top and one at the bottom. Now thanks to the vet she's only got one at the top too! Not expecting that to grow back either:(

Bless her she's eating a little but it's a struggle. I suppose she'll just adapt and it'll get easier.........that she's eating at all is a good sign?

One of my boys I used to have lost both of his bottom front teeth when he was six and they never grew back he struggled initially but then found his method of coping. It may be that you have to chop the food up for her and take her out of her house and hand feed her for a while to ensure she is eating.

I've just had a look at her teeth and I think the real problem is that not only has he pulled one out he's cut the other one way too short! I will hand feed her for a couple of days until it starts to grow........

Soften pellets with water and cut/grate up veg. My Willy had stages of having just top or just bottom teeth (rescued him where he was malnourished with scurvy). He loved soaked pellets and grated veg. He managed hay ok as he just kind of sucked it in to his back teeth.

That's a brilliant idea.....that's why I love this forum....so much great advice. Thank you:))

I have to second the softened pellets, that's what got Leila through because she just wouldnt take CC at all. Hope she manages to adjust quickly!
