Lots Of Water

Gosh the piggies are guzzling the water today - assuming that's because it's absolutely boiling today.

The hutch is positioned so it gets some morning sun but at around noon onwards it's in shade.

Jemima and Casran have such thick, long coats they are still feeling it a bit.

Have taken them some cucumber for extra fluids.

Does anyone else have long haired piggies and what do you generally do to keep them comfy in the heat?
 
I gave my long haired daisy a trim so she now has short hair. It is now easier to brush, as she hates it anyway plus she seems much cooler and energetic. I will just let it grow out again for the winter.

I've been meaning to cut some of Jemima's hair out of her eyes for ages - maybe now would be a good time! Ironically she is the one who will sit with her face in the sun given half the chance! Thanks for your reply x
 
I could come and fan Miss Fluffybottom and the Lord for you? It is the least they expect I would imagine :))

Aww you're their biggest fan (no pun intended). Jemima is such a princess she would find this completely 'standard doting subject' behaviour! X
