My poor girl is wheezeing this morning,
She was perfectly alright last night so obviously has done the usual piggies trait of hiding it well till now 🙁

I’m planning to take her to the vet tomorrow morning, is this okay or should I class it as an emergency? She’s still running round and fighting me a bit when I hold her like usual.
And obviously I don’t want to take the vets time away from actual emergency cases if it’s not needed.

No runny nose or crusty eyes, her poos are healthy looking, and she’s weeing normally.
I haven’t seen her eating this morning but will watch her when I give them their lunch to see if she is eating her normal healthy appitite.
Anything else I can do?

@TheLottiediarys Try feeding her now to see how she handles it.

Is she struggling to breathe, or is she normal except for the wheezing?

It's hard to know what to do on a weekens when we only have emergency vets to rely on. Do you know if yours are any good and they'll treat her right?

You could try her in a steamy room to see if that helps and if she deteriorates then take her to the emergency vet.

Hi guys sorry I haven’t posted earlier
She’s eating, but not as fast as usual.
She’s normally in their pretty quick but she’s taking her time and seems to be a bit off with Aurora who she has a bit of a history with anyway.
Got her a vet app for first thing.
Don’t know what I can do for her in the meantime
Is it safe for her to stay with the group?
I don’t want to stress her out by separating her, but obviously don’t want to put the group at risk?

@TheLottiediarys How did it go at the vet?

Sorry for not updating!
Lottie got worse yesterday, with discharge around her nose,
Vet thinks it’s a respiratory infection, we’ve got antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds, metacam and enrocare which is enrofloxacin.

I also asked if I should separate her from the others, she said ideally, so she’s with me during the day in the living room.

We’ve got a check up next week also, and her teeth need clipping but their going to do that after she’s well 😓

Sending healing vibes for your old lady! 8.5 years WOW what a good age to get to! You have obviously looked after here extremely well! It's a worrying time when they are ill. Hopefully the cocktail of drugs will kick in soon!
