Loud, Loud, Loud, LOUD!

Every morning between 3 and 6, my lovely pigs decide to wake me up... JUST FIR FOOD!
I give them lots of food before I sleep as to prevent the loudness but they still do it!
Any suggestions?
 
Theres not much you can do if your feedig them before bed? Maybe give them a little bit more if there eating it all x
 
have you tried putting a heavy blanket over the cage? It works with my girls!

Think you need to accept your purpose in life is to serve them! I'm glad ours don't know how to use a telephone or they'd ring me up at work demanding feeding... One day the phone will ring, I'll answer and they'll be a massive wheek!

Mine went through a habbit of waking at three so I started feeding them it got ridiculs and they started waking up loads so just before I go to bed I leave the light on for 10 mins and feed them and ignored there squeaking eventually they slept all night there so much like toddlers :)
 
Hi! I just joined :)p

Mine does this everyday about 6am, I have a little bit of bell pepper I put right on the bed stand to give it to her when she wakes me up!
But she's such a sweet baby I don't really mind x)
 
you need one of those inventions where a stimulus starts a ball rolling..

I'm thinking a cone going from the guinea cage which transfers the wheeks to the other end of the room amplifying it at a wine glass with water in it.. which break releasing the weight of the water into a bowl below.. the bowl is on a seesaw in the up position so the water tilts the seesaw the other way.. which yanks up a cord attached to a silver dish cover - revealing in the piggy cage the next meal!

only works once tho :(


must improvise the glass idea to waste less finery! :p

Love it!

However when the silver dish cover is lifted it would reveal another pig which had tunnelled in and ate the veg 6 hours previous and decided to use the dish cover as a space age pigloo instead...
 
The very important thing is to busy your baby pigs. Throw the ball in pigs court and try to play with them. Once baby pigs used to play the ball then loudness must reduce. :)
