Love Bites?

My pig is about two months old and is such a love bug. He would never porpusley hurt me or his brother. When I leave the house, I stick my hand in the cage and he always comes running over to me. He then proceeds to lick me. Then, in between licks, he nibbles on me. Sometimes his nibbles hurt really bad and sometimes they don’t. He does the same thing to his brother who does not care at all. He has never drawn blood and he always seems to feel bad if his hard bite takes me by surprise and I yelp. He has done this to my finger, chin, and nose. His brother sometimes does this but shows his affections through popcorning rumble strutting on your lap. Is there anything I should do to stop the nibbles? To be honest I don’t mind cause it gives me a chance to check his teeth which is a big win for me, but my parents care. He does the same thing to them if the go in his cage and they do not like it. Is this normal?

The kisses are affection, the nibbles are friendly dominance. Try a piggy whispering mixture of love and friendly dominance to assure him that you love him, but that you are the boss who says what is accepted and what not.
