Thanks everyone for thinking of George and rooting for him. He is still very poorly and no better although he is trying very hard bless him. He hasn't even been gone a week but it seems like forever. I miss him terribly. Sometimes I think that I'll never see him again :'(

Now we'll have none of that kind of talk, he's in good hands.

So chin up and be positive :-* :-*

I do try and be positive. Whenever I try to talk to Steve about it, he starts talking about his train set. Apparently, its his way of taking my mind off it ::)

Ohh Debbie

my heart is breaking for you.

I know George is not improving as much as you hoped, but he is in the right place and know everything possible is being done for him.

Everyone is rooting for George, and am sure he will be home soon. Its hard not to think the worst at these times.

My hubby is the same when one of mine are ill, he never wants to 'talk' about it, but I accept that as his way. Men are not very good with these things.

Try not to worry yourself too much Debbie.

We are all there with you and for you.

Deb x

I do hope George is feeling better today. He's been so brave going into hospital. Lots of good luck and kisses to him. He is so sweet and I'm sure he wants to get home to you.
x

George ate less food yesterday than he has been so they are going to look at his teeth again. Get well soon Georgie boy so you come home to mummy and Mildred.

Yes please eat George your mummy needs you :-*

Can relate so much, i hate it that we just don't know how to help piggies with their teeth, they're so complex :(

Sending piggie kisses to George, and a cuddle to you Deb :-*

I know just how you feel Debbie.

Huge hugs and kisses to you and George :-* :-*

Were all thinking of you

Fingers, toes and anything else that will cross are crossed for you both right now xx

Thanks everyone. I will call them tonight and see if there is any update. Will keep you all posted. He knows that he has all you lovely ladeez rooting for him and sends love and piggy kisses to you all :)

Come on George! Your mummy needs you home and well!

Thinking of you, Debbie xx

Thanks everyone.
The latest is that he wants to eat but he is having a lot of trouble. He also hasn't put on any weight, despite being fed the best food. It sounds like he has something wrong with his tummy. :(

They don't know at the moment. Chris said that sometimes piggies act like they can't eat when they have something wrong with thier tummies.

I spoke to my rodentologist last night and there's still no change for Georgie. The good news is that he's no worse either. That's what I have to focus on at the moment. He tries so hard to eat but still can't do it. The lump on his jaw hasn't got any bigger so its looking unlikely to be an abcess which begs the question, what on earth is it and is it the reason he can't eat. They can't feel anything untoward going on with his teeth so why can't he eat? It's all very worrying :(

Is it a problem with his little tummy?

I'm so sorry there is no change for the better but like you said focus on the positive :)
Maybe its a psycological thing? (If that exists in piggies)

It could be. That's another option. Another idea was that a tooth could be growing the wrong way.

I dont know how you feel about these things - but is he strong enough to take a mild anaesthetic so that he can have an xray and so that the vet can do a thorough examination of him.

Not everyone agrees with doing this but I'm lucky in that Ive found an amazing vet who is brilliant with small animal ops

he's not strong enough for anything like that but if he needs an x ray or anything my rodentologist will take him to Vedra at the CCT. I trust them completely. I know he's in the best hands and they'll do whatever is necessary to help him.

Vedra does Xrays?
Thats worth remembering for the future - thanks.

I just thought it could help you rule out the tooth growing the wrong way possibility.
