Senior Guinea Pig
Madeline came to live with us on 8 September 2010. She was extremely nervous and we have often wondered what had happened to her to make her that way. Over the years she has transformed to become top sow of her own little herd and into a pig who loved cuddles and chin rubs. She was a fiesty little madam, and liked nothing better than headbutting us out of the way when she had had enough.
As many of you know she has had a rough couple of months healthwise and on Friday we made the decision that it was not fair for her to be in so much pain and she passed away peacefully at the vets in Ross’ arms.
We are both in bits, she was one of those extra special pigs that life will not be the same without. Love you so much Maddie, hope you have found Izzie and the others at the bridge. Your little herd are missing you too, Barney is more confused than normal.
Below are a selection of photos, she was so photgenic that there are lots I want to share, they start with her as a baby and the second one is her with baby Izzie.
