We've had new vinyl flooring put in the kitchen- dark grey- and I want to let the pigs run about in there. My hubby is concerned that their wee will stain the floor. Will it?

I shouldn't think so. Even if it did, some white vinegar would do the trick.

You might get away with it on vinyl. I have a whippet, rescue, who was never house trained, although she is better now, after 10 years..... She wees on the vinyl in the kitchen, I mop up with formula H and boiling water.
Just remember what you are dealing with, a very strong alkaline, white vinegar will neutralise and clean. Eventually you might find white marks, as it will just take the colour out of the vinyl, unless it is white, then it will go yellow!

You could always put a spare off cut down where your piggies are? Or even a rubber matt?

My vinyl was free and I put it down myself! So, it doesn't owe me anything.

You could buy those pound a square Lino from pound land down in the corners.

Thanks- I've got white vinegar and will put off cuts down (good idea!) and the shower curtain we usually use for floor play. I'd just hoped I could just let them roam with no palaver of moving stuff- just a quick mop after!

Great question - I have been thinking the same as am moving to new flat soon & am putting laminate down in the spare room which is where my cage will be / was thinking of letting Billy just play free in there for his floor time but am worried about staining. I will put a towell down but it's then where to put the stinky towel!

@PAMELAKT Haha! I know the feeling! You sort one thing out, then there's another dilemma! We have a big pile of stuff: poop scoops, DustBuster, bags of hay, spare fleece et etc in an untidy heap by their nice tidy (until Flo rearranges it to their liking!) hutch!

Funny you should say that, was just in a garden centre with my mum & they had little hats & my mum said oh why don't you buy Billy a hat! Haha. He wouldn't like it, you don't mess with the quiff....
