Can anybody please advise me on a low calcium diet?

Lately I've noticed that my sows have yellow, cloudy wee. My boar has had it since I got him, but we think it may be a genetic thing with him. I have bought a filter for the water and changed the pellets (they were on p@h nuggets) to oxbow. When I came to clean them out today, on the corner of the fleece where there is a lot of wee build up, the calcium deposits have gone slightly grainy, like sand. I am worried that this might case bladder stones. They have been having the same veggies since I got them in December last year.

They are currently having peppers, small slice of cucumber, small slice of carrot, green lettuce, a small amount of fresh herbs, one cherry tomato and corriander. These are everyday. They have a small sprig of brocolli every other day. My boar also has celery and courgette which my sows won't eat.

I have no idea what is causing this as it's come on over the last 4 weeks since I got Charlie. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

What sort of Hay are they eating, I know Alfalfa has a very high calcium content.

Hi!

Timothy is the hay with the lowest calcium content.

Here is a link to a vegetable chart with calcium values: http://www.guinealynx.info/chart.html

Please also check the calcium content in your pellets and limit those.
Also don't forget about the water - there can be a lot of calcium in there!

Quite a few of the veggies I give don't come up as high in calcium which is what I don't understand. Oxbow say their pellets are low in calcium and they are getting 20g a day which is the recommended amount.

Also I have a filter for my water :)

How old are your pigs? Could it be that they've stopped growing now, so their body doesn't require as much calcium so it's being excreted?
