Heya!

Was just wondering if anyone had a list or anything of low calcium foods I can feed my piggies to try and reduce their calcium intake? As well as foods to avoid that have high calcium?

Thanks!

The four safe daily veggies are coriander, lettuce, cucumber and bell pepper. These provide a good mix of nutrients without being too high in calcium (coriander is a slightly higher calcium content but it is still important that they are given some calcium).
High calcium veggies are dark green leafy veg such as parsley, kale, spinach.

However it is also important to consider that more calcium comes into the diet via pellets and drinking water than via with veg (pellets contain more calcium than the highest calcium veg (kale)). So keeping pellets strictly limited to one tablespoon per day and filtering drinking water is an important step.

It is fine to give high calcium veggies once a week as they do still need calcium; cutting calcium down too low is as bad as having it too high though.
