What is loxicom when its at home? Does it have any side effects?

Is your pig on it? have you noticed anything wrong? Like Biscandmatt has said, it is usually well tolerated but different pigs react differently to meds.

She seems to have gone off her veggies again. She is also on an injectable antib inflamatroy. It lasts 3 days. So not sure which one she isnt liking too much.
Saying that, her poos are bigger but there is a bit of blood in her wee still...

So is it all to help her pain because of the bladder stones? what dose is she on of the Loxicom and is it dog or cat? Do you know the name of the injectable anti-inflammatory?

Yep. She is on a syringe that i have to give her 1.5kg (shes a hefty 3 pound piggie) once a day. Its dog one.
Not sure of the injection but vet agreed come monday i can give her septrum as she quite likes that on lettuce

She has eaten a lil bit of veggies tonight by herself (not me feeding them too her!) So maybe we are getting somewhere

I am not used to using the Loxicom syringe so I am unsure what that dose is in ml.

Are you experienced in syringe feeding? if she is only eating small amounts you will need to step in with supportive feeding.

Also, her being off her food could well be a pain response from the stones?

She is eating hay and eating dried food. I have got recovery food if needed but she seems much better than before

Hopefully the pain meds are keeping her stable then. Keep an eye on her weight though and top her up if needed.

We have had a big normal poo this morning but also there is still blood in her wee.
Should this have cleared up by now?

No if she has stones still, it is likely she will still have blood in her wee.
