Lucy - my gorgeous tabby girl.

I have just come back from the vet and Lucy (my 13 year old Tabby cat) has had to be put to sleep. She has been being sick daily for a few months now and we have had treatments and x-rays and numerous scans and nothing has shown up. We just kept going but always knowing it may come to this.

She was sick late on this afternoon and there was blood so I rang the vet and we decided it was time to let her go. I held her - she snuggled me and purred right to the end. It was very very sad and upsetting but such a beautiful moment in a way.

I rescued Lucy from Cats Protection League in Warrington 12 years ago when she had been abused badly. She has had her forever home with me and always will be my little girl. She was my shadow. It will be hard not to imagine her behind me wherever I go - she was a house cat also and just so so gorgeous. When I am feeling a little stronger I will post a picture of my baby - just need some hugs. Thanks.
