Hi there, does anyone have any idea what this could be on my guinea pigs back? It doesn’t cause him any discomfort, I’ve never noticed it before...ED4DB202-5238-4E9B-972E-EB6830D07CE8.webp

You can only see/feel it when you gently push his fur apart. I noticed it when checking for lice last night.

It's not possible to diagnose what this is from a photo. It's best to get your vet to check it. Most skin lumps are harmless cysts but better safe than sorry!

hi. it could be lots things and nothing.
Lumps and spots scratches are mentioned in the home section in piggies health.
if you not happy then a trip to vets be best all around. I hope it's nothing to worry about

It is impossible to diagnose lumps just from a picture. They need a hands-on vet assessment.
However, the good news is that lumps sitting loose in the skin are generally harmless, so please don't panic. What a vet is going to propose depends on the nature of a lump, where it sits and how big it is as well as on the age of thee piggy in question. There is not one solution that fits all cases, ;)
