Sorry for slightly grim topic....Just checking Sudoku and TeaCakes man bits as they went for a play and Tea Cake had a pooh lump sticking out of his sac. He is only 10 months old so quite young but certainly seemed to have a lump of a few poohs stuck fast in the sac. I used some vaseline and got some of it out (smelly ) but some is really stuck to the lining of the sac. Any tips to help get it out without stressing him out too much? PS he is poohing normally so that is fine.

Yes - good idea, I have seen that, the lady used cotton buds and a more liquid type of vaseline. The lump that is stuck in Tea Cake is very hard and difficult to shift without causing discomfort:{

hmmmmm maybe a bath prior to the vaseline and cotton buds? failing that a trip to the vets to let them do the nasty work lol :))

I've added a little to the linked thread above on boar sac cleaning.

Thanks Suzy - I have read the extra bit you added and that sounds promising. I have done the cleaning of the sac before but not had the experience of the lump being almost superglued to the sac lining! Tea Cakes lump was about a marble size but I have got rid of 60%. I will use some baby oil and see if that softens the remainder over 24 hours.

Maybe the boar bottom cleaning thread should be a sticky?
